On Sunday Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will lock horns with one of his greatest adversaries for the last time in the Premier League. The German tactician has faced Manchester City manager more times than any other coach over the course of his career, with both head coaches coming up against one another no less than 29 times across multiple leagues and cup competitions. Sunday’s clash will be the sixteenth time these managerial heavyweights have faced off in the English top-flight and their head-to-head record is remarkably tight.

An intermediary update has taken place on the Argentine Primera División this Monday, and 210 players saw changes to their market value. The 16-year-old Franco Mastantuono received the first market value of his career of €4 million, and was the big winner of the update. Not even two months has passed since River Plate sold Claudio Echeverri to Manchester City for €18.5m, before loaning him back to the Buenos Aires club. The Premier League stands out as by far the most valuable football league in the world, and this Thursday the division received 128 new market values, increasing its total value by around €240 million to a staggering €11.09 billion. Nine Liverpool players went up in value, while numerous Chelsea players were downgraded. When you have superstars such as Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Phil Foden, it’s easy to escape the limelight in one of the most successful football teams of all time. When the Norwegian monster Haaland struck five goals in one game against Luton, people were waxing lyrical how he is back to his potent frightening best and could be the difference for Manchester City in the title race. When De Buryne returned from injury and provided a goal and an assist off the bench in a cameo against Newcastle back in January, it was the Belgian who was labelled the key to the Sky Blues success. Foden’s move to a more central role has been the catalyst for so much talk about the importance of the young Englishmen this season. There's one man who doesn't quite get the credit he deserves.

The spoils were shared in the gigantic English Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal on Sunday. Mikel Arteta’s tactical plan to nullify City’s attacking threat was successfully implemented by his players with the Spaniard becoming the only manager to go unbeaten against Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp in a Premier League season. It’s a three-horse race for the title between Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool with Klopp’s men the biggest winners of the weekend after they beat Brighton to move two points clear of the Gunners at the league summit. While Arsenal’s title credentials were boosted on Sunday as they displayed a resilience and mentality that they lacked last season, City’s record against the traditional “big six” received criticism.

It's that stage of the season. We are into the Champions League quarter-finals. Just the best eight teams in Europe remain. And the draw has thrown up some mouth-watering ties. Current champions Manchester City will take on 14-time winners Real Madrid, whilst Arsenal face off with Bayern Munich, looking to gain revenge on previous ties where the Bavarians slaughtered the Gunners. Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund take on Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona face PSG.
